Angel Luis Perez, M.D.

A native of Puerto Rico, Dr. Perez received his undergraduate degree from University of Puerto Rico, San Juan, Puerto Rico and earned his medical degree from University Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He is Board Certified in General Psychiatry and Board Eligible for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the American Psychiatry Association.

Dr. Perez completed his residency in general adult psychiatry and a two-year fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Emory University in Atlanta. During his residency and fellowship, Dr. Perez worked at Emory University Hospital, Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Peachford Hospital and Ridgeview Institute, between others. He also served at two residential institutions, Hillside and Devereux Treatment Network.

He enjoys working with the patient and their families in a collaborative and practical approach using therapies such as Pharmacotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family and Individual Psychotherapy. He treats a wide range of conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, ADHD, ODD, schizophrenia and PTSD.
